UPDATE 7:01 AM PT:

Posted by javert:

Suggests they are fully going for the rescheduled message:

Hi there,

Tonight's event has been rescheduled...

The event organisers have been in touch to let us know that tonight's show has been rescheduled and will no longer be taking place.

The event organisers are working hard to arrange a new date and as soon as we get any update on this, we'll be in touch to let you know. Your tickets will be valid for this new date.

Please understand that given the extraordinary circumstances, our Fan Support teams are incredibly busy at the moment, so we encourage you not to contact us. Instead, you can find lots of information and answers to your questions in our information portal.

If you sold your tickets on our Ticket Exchange and haven’t received payment, you will now be paid 10-12 working days after the new date - which is yet to be announced.

If you have any questions for us, there's lots of information in our FAQs.

We're sorry for any disappointment caused.

f***, only got my ticket last week as well, although rescheduled date may better as looks like he's playing 50% of what he played in Manchester in October.

Last week, I think, there were people on Facebook saying they were having problems retrieving their tickets in their accounts and it was saying there was not a show or something. I can't remember, it was one of these UK shows, I should have taken a screen shot. Anyway, you may want to check on your tickets for the rest of the shows you are going to or show or whatever.

I believe this was due to the early (erroneous?) release/sale of Leeds tickets by a certain ticket portal.

FWD.

Why not most artists do 2/3 nights and than have a break

Two and half hour sets as well, and Robert Smith is a month older than Morrissey. "Two days back to back isn't a good idea" lol ok, maybe not for precious Morrissey, but many artists manage it just fine, with much longer sets on much longer tours.

Exactly and 2.5 hour sets from what I can gather.

What a tosser - and do it on the day of.
Might add I only found this out as a Ticketmaster ticket holder from instagram, with no text or email.

Unforeseen circumstances is the type of thing you say to the cancellation of your dentist appointment, not a £90+ ticketed gig.

Yes, he is precious, isn't he? Springsteen is even older and plays back to back shows, hours per show.

It was really stupid to say 2 nights is too much for him when his contemporaries are out there playing back to back for hours.
What does Morrissey’s schedule have to do with his contemporaries’ schedule?
For Morrissey it is apparantly too much.

How many albums have The Cure released this century? Why compare that to Morrissey?

Each to their own I would say.
