Strange/unexpected Moz references?

Hmmm, but you posted Irish Times link of Arthur Matthews interview, not Hot Press.

I phrased that ambiguously. Arthur Mathews in an interview with the Irish Times newspaper, mentions that he went through a strong Smiths period while he was working for Hot Press.

Terry Christian is on Celebrity Mastermind tonight, his specialist subject is Manchester music scene 1977 - 2010.

I bet one or two Smiths related question will be asked.

*EDIT*
Yes, Smiths question was asked.

"How Soon Is Now" played last night at 7 pm in a sushi bar on Broadway in NYC. It was not a song I was expecting, last time I was in that place it was playing J-pop, as any decent sushi bar should. But not last night.

In this months TopGear magazine, there is a 3 page interview with Mike Joyce. It's a advert for Harmon Kardon, but he talks about being in The Smiths and is quite polite about Morrissey. Nothing ground breaking, but it's good to see The Smiths recognised for their brilliance.

Apparently there is a video of the interview at www.amplified-journeys.com

Awww, Harry Hill did it again!

Showing Corrie footages, he sang Heaven Knows I'm Mieserable Now on TV Burp. :D

*EDIT*
ooops, I didn't know it's best of series 12.

beat me to it.

Also before the Man Utd vs Liverpool game yesterday How Soon Is Now was playing at Old Trafford (approx 40 mins before ko)

Possibly a barbed comment about King Kenny's return as manager?

Nice piece. Nothing ground breaking, but good to hear Mike speaking positively about Morrissey - I doubt we will ever hear it the other way around :(

Hi Dave

I thought it was worth bringing to people's attention on this forum, after all Mike was still a member of The Smiths and I think it's always interesting to hear his (and Andy's) views even it is only for an advert.

I like the prick on the main page who complains it's not a proper interview but an advert, which I think I did say in my original post. Hang on I'll have look...............why yes I did

There is one channel I watch on tv that plays songs all day and just shows pictures of the bands while their songs play. When they run out of pictures of the band that is playing they show other pictures of other stuff. One of these pictures is of Morrissey and Johnny Marr. Morrissey's head is cut off and Johnny's head is turned in the other direction, but it is obvious who they are. Morrissey is holding his microphone in the way that only he does and he is wearing one of is baggy shirts. Johnny Marr has that mushroom hair. It always makes me smile.
