Peter, I’m with Kate (physically) and why do you care what Kate writes. If she wants to defend Morrissey and attack Mike Joyce, then she should be free to do it.
Lord knows Mike Joyce gives plenty of cause to deserve any abuse and ridicule he can get.
He lives off the reputation that Johnny and Morrissey built and he was and is and always will be as replaceable as the parts of a lawnmower, the only shame is he wasn’t replaced early enough.
So if Kate is not free to write whatever she wishes then she should be refunded all the money she’s contributed to this site through the years.

Is it any wonder that Morrissey detests this site so, Mike Joyce stories live on and defenders of Morrissey’s good name are told to give it a rest.

Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross is disgusting. I am waiting for Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross to give Morrissey the money in the amount of 7 million dollars and that includes interest and legal expenses. Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross legally had a responsibility to prove to the judge that he had something in writing, and or otherwise, etc. validating his “claim”. Morrissey on the other hand legally didn’t owe Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross anything as there was no partnership. I looked up that senile Judge Weak’s bogus partnership nonsense and it did not, and it did not fit in the formula with regards to The Smiths. Meaning, The Smiths were technically not a partnership. So the Partnership Act 1890 was bogus and should have been thrown out of court.

Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross was devious, truculent and unreliable. Morrissey, on the other hand, handled himself professionally and extremely well in my opinion.

So the rest of you all can go to hell except CrystalGeezer.

I'm afraid, Kate, the person who needed to "show evidence" in Joyce v. Morrissey & Others was Steven. He was obliged to satisfy the court that there was a legally binding contract that entitled Morrissey & Marr to 80% (40% each) of The Smiths' profits. Unable to present documentation to the court that proved the existence of such a contract, Morrissey & Marr were forced to rely, among other things, on hearsay evidence. In the end, Steven simply failed to satisfy the court that there was a contract between the four members of the band which stated that they should not profit equally from the partnership. (He also made rather a fool of himself in the witness box too... which was nice.)

Anyway, I think you need to hit the books, Kate. Good luck with that.

First of all, Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross managed to bother the court systems with his bogus lawsuit, then it was up to him to provide a court of law proof, evidence, and documentation of the said alleged money that was allegedly owed him by Johnny and Morrissey. Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross initiated this con game, therefore legally it is up to Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross to prove that he had in writing documentation that he was entitled to 25% of The Smiths’ earnings. You can’t just show up in a court of law, when you are the one who is the plaintiff without providing lawyers and judges evidence of what you are trying to sue the other party or parties for.

And by the way, the judge DID say that Morrissey was honest. Judge Weeks maintained that Morrissey was truthful.

Mike Joyce aka Mike Gross should do the right thing and start paying back the money that Morrissey is rightfully entitled to. He bothered Morrissey’s mother and tried to take their houses away and he succeeded in attaining Smiths’ royalties that he was not entitled to. Therefore he should start paying Morrissey the money he owes him as it’s the right thing to do.
