What is the latest on Johnny and Mike Joyce's relationship. Are they even cordial to one another? Was Joyce supposed to be involved in a Cancer Benefit show with Marr and Rourke but then asked to step away?

There's something about Johnny Marr that I really dislike. Everyone seems to agree that he's an amazingly good person, but to me he appears quite false. I don't think he says what he's really thinking. His eyes are a giveaway - there's a lot of anger in there. A lot of pride. Autobiography confirmed many of my suspicions about him. I don't know why the reviews said he "got off lightly". There were some pretty damning revelations in there.

I think Andy Rourke appears quite false. What are your feelings about him?

I don't know. All I can say is I've met him twice and he seemed very nice. He wasn't an idiot to the people wanting a photo or autograph. If you google him on Instagram, there are/were a bunch of photos/vids of him talking with people.

I mean, think about it.....for the last 25 years Johnny works with different people and the first things generally out of people's mouths are questions about The Smiths not whatever artist he's currently working with. I'm sure there are times when he might be off his game but doesn't that happen to all of us?

As far as the book goes, I'm just into the court case now but that whole thing is a $hitshow. The more I read, the less I feel there is any chance of a reunion. I mean, they seemed SO happy in the early days and now its just utter vitriol. If they'd have had any proper management, who knows, maybe they'd still be together.

Could anyone upload the audio again, please? My annoying internet connection where I'm studying is blocking sendspace!
Thanks.

Moz has, and certainly needs, very long coattails. The dart of a persons eye speaks volumes to me too! Found so many people are all things to all men, the worst type I find, rather the idiots than the weak. Any chance Rourke and Joyce will be doing a book soon? YAWN.

They seem not to be friendly - as you'd expect following the court case - but Johnny is at least cordial to him. Bizarrely I remember him answering a question from Mike Joyce in a magazine Q+A interview. I doubt he'd be inviting him to join him on stage any time soon though.

The rendition of please on live25 is so touching , so emotional and moz sounds incredible, no disrespect to johnny but anyone who thinks johnnys version is better must be blind, deaf and definitely dumb

The way Johnny's band plays this song reminds me of how much I have always hated Moz's band. I don't know why he has kept that band for so long. They play each and every song so badly.

That so-called superfan 'Chayane Sarabia' had a right rant on his Facebook page on Sundày about Johnny Marr playing this song! He hasn't got a clue and is a complete idiot! Morrissey doesn't even like Chayane!! He is KY no1 fan and that says it all really!!

Marr has been amazing on the current USA tour.
