About some familiar intro, and ... a bit the Smiths

Well, I've just heard a familar intro on youtube.com, and is their anybody who might know anything about this, I mean what it's called? You can heard it on the following link:

By the way, did the Smiths really use this intro ... ? I thought that they weren't using any intro at all ...

It's the version from the "Caligula" film soundtrack. If you want to get really specific.
