I was perilously close to posting this version, but the album version just sounds better to me. Plus, Marr’s vocals are actually acceptable on the album version.

I wonder if it's because the controlled awesomeness of the guitar solo makes us think of Marr at his best which , of course , was when Morrissey accompanied him ?
