2004. My friend played me "There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out", and right after that my sister borrowed me Louder Than Bombs. At that time I didn't even know Morrissey had just released YATQ. That was the first Moz album I bought.
Re: USA, UK & European Dates 2009
A major Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat says that Morrissey will play in Finland on 26th and 27th of June (http://www.hs.fi/kulttuuri/artikkeli/Morrissey+konsertoi+kesällä+Suomessa/1135242851649) in Tampere and Helsinki. It's also on Live Nation's website...
Re: USA, UK & European Dates 2009
Let's just hope it's because the site was updated, and somehow they put the old data up.
Anyway, this is getting ridiculous.
Re: USA, UK & European Dates 2009
Finnish gigs are back!
Friday 26th June, Tampere, Finland - Tampere Arena
Saturday 27th June, Helsinki, Finland - Cable Factory.
Naturally :)
Well, my opinion is that he simply doesn't need to sing it. Everyone knows that the words "there is a light and it never goes out" belong there. It's just much cooler not to sing them.
I agree. That doesn't, however, prove anything. Morrissey doesn't have to write a new song everytime his mentality or opinion on a subject changes.
This is a silly argument, really. There is no way of us to know.
Gave it a genorous 7.
It's not junk. It's not great.. surely not the most brilliant song ROTT has to offer, but still quite listenable.
I quite like the rather simple lyrics..
