Linder Sterling and Morrissey

I hope Moz and Linder still speak. I think I read that she had attended a show fairly recently, but I cannot be too sure. It's a pity that she isn't as involved in Morrisseyland as she used to be, she took some great pictures of him and they seem(ed) to have a great friendship.

For anyone interested - Mark Beaumont bits that have cropped up (not exhaustive):

Somewhere There's A Feather

Love and learn
Take your turn
Somewhere there's a feather
Falling slowly from the sky
You need not know the reason why

Stand apart
Hear your heart
Someday there will be another lover to the end
You need not hold your breath 'til then

Don't ask me to explain to you
There's nothing to remain but what we see

Fall and climb
Take your time
Somehow you must live up to the precedents you've set
You need not hope for answers yet

Don't ask me how I know it now
The future does not show itself to me

So love and learn
Take your turn
Somewhere there's a feather
Falling slowly from the sky
You need not know the reason why

Interesting that this song was originally written by Jackson Browne - both he and Nico appeared on M's 'shake the hand that shook the hand' list.

Also noteworthy, is that this song has themes of acceptance in the face of uncertainties, mysteries and doubts (rather than resistance)

On that basis, perhaps Morrissey knows far more about practising Negative Capability than I initially thought.

He may even have read The Wisdom of Insecurity for all I know (and I'd love to know)

Gorgeous! I absolutely adore them. I've always wondered if they're in some type of romantic relationship...maybe not like what he has with Damon, but more than a friendship possibly?

To know someone for your whole life though. For over 50 years! I can't imagine. She's always stood by him and never spoken badly about him, no matter how terrible the media treated him. It really shows how wonderful she is. ❤️

“I shall love you till that final stretch of sand that the sea never quite reaches is finally swathed by crashing waves. Or, perhaps longer . . . if there’s time.”

Yes! I still watch his appearance on the Craig Kilborn show promoting Quarry, he was humble but witty and had great style. He still does, but not like he did then.
Not to mention Jonathan Ross!
Yeah, I’d like to think the old Moz is still alive somewhere deep down. Maybe some good times for a change is all he needs…

I was just reading this interview, in which Morrissey asks Linder questions. It's from 2010, but quite interesting.
