your fave Mozz answer to a question?

So many, but one that sticks out:

SPIN: In America is Not the World, you mention the word "hamburger"

MOZ: Yes, I've been waiting years to get that in

"Have you heard Tatu's version of 'How Soon Is Now?"

Moz: I'm not sure who they are

"They're russian teenage lesbians"

Moz: Well, aren't we all?

My favorite as well...;)

Q] What Do You Think Of Mick Jagger
Being Cast As Dorian Grey,

A] I Coundn't Have Been More Surprised
If HAD You Told Me It Was Daffy Duck, [priceless],:d

From City Life, 2003:

Q: Eminem is the new Morrissey. Discuss.
A: Pigfarmer's Weekly is the new City Life. Discuss.

I've got a very faded t-shirt from years ago with a (I think) Guardian article on it:

Q: When were you most happy?
M: May 21st 1959

Q: Who last saw you in your natural state?
M: Almost certainly the doctor who brought me into this cruel world.

^^ I just read that interview from The Face, July 1994

Two questions before yours was...

Q: Were you a horny teenager thing?
A: Oh definitely (giggle), can't you tell? :horny:!!!

I've always liked this one from Q, Sept. 1992

Q: Do you have anything to declare?
A: Only my jeans :)

Q: Do you find that there are certain subject matters where you might belittle it by putting in a three-minute lyric?

A: No

"Have you heard Tatu's version of 'How Soon Is Now?"

Moz: I'm not sure who they are

"They're russian teenage lesbians"

Moz: Well, aren't we all?

The best, hands down.

Another one I quite like: To an MTV reporter after his acceptance of an Ivor Novello Lifetime Achievement Award, 1998:

Q: What brings you here today?
A: The 138 to Streatham Hill.

(from "Saint Morrissey")

Q: Why do you think it is, you have theories on why that kind of effeminate, whatever you want to call it, glam rock is somehow not embraced here?

A: People are afraid of it because they see that there's a truth in it, there's a truth in it for all of us. We all have the feminine side to our personalities, and most people in American society want to deny it, and the locker-room jock is celebrated always, even though their attitude is absolutely thick and useless, but it's always celebrated, it's never criticized. The feminine side is associated with art, and it's threatening because it's associated with intellect, and superiority.

Q. Is I'm not sorry your Je ne regrette rien?

A. No, it's my Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep.

LOL!!!!!

Question about Sports:

A: "I swim a lot. And when I say that to people their heads spin around. They can't really imagine me in a life that doesn't involve very heavy books and a small stepladder. It's very nice to be underwater. It gives you a very clear perspective on life. People look much better underwater. I like diving between people's legs. And obviously coming out the other side. I don't loiter."

Melody Maker, October 14, 1997

i like this one but i couldnt rememember the complete quote
where he responded to the question if he had spoken to ?dead people recently? and he responded only with journalists from "The Sun"

When "Ringleader" was released, it was being reviewed on a radio show here.
One of the panel recalled hearing about Morrissey going to a club with a group of people he knew when he lived here in the 90's. Apparently, some of the group were trying to persuade him to get up for a dance. When he declined, someone said to him "Come on, are you a man or a mouse?"
To which he is supposed to have replied "I am a mouse.....and PROUD of it".

Jools Holland "Morrissey, I have a joke. Knock Knock"
Morrissey "I'm not answering"
