I have seen parts of this before, but never the whole thing - some really interesting footage completely new to me, like the bongos and Andy recording “That joke…”
Great to see these things again being uploaded with amazing quality. Spoiler alert: but I believe that this so called recording session is actually them lip syncing, etc to the finished songs.
Moz is right about how he doesn't get credit for the
humor in his lyrics.
Wild T?
Yeah, the lyrics always been funny, but maybe since
it ain't a basic kinda humor, then some don't get it.
Also remember that when I was first hearin' The Smiths,
Moz would sing somethin' and I would think "yep, that's
right. How come no one else is sayin' this stuff?"
Feels surreal, watching this and knowing that Andy isn't here anymore. 40 years, wow. A lifetime.
Does Moz elbow Johnny at 2.52, after the Sgt Pepper comment?

These were such exciting times, everything seemed possible and the future was so bright.
And they all looked so good and lively.
It’s hard not tofeel nostalgic.
Such a sweet video from better times... I love how Johnny smiles the whole time Morrissey is talking, you can see the were close friends. And Morrissey is still so unpretentious and without the shell he has nowadays. They look so relaxed. Also: Mike's serious Bongo-face
