I used to relate to THAT line from How Soon Is Now (please, enough with the abbreviated titles already!) due to my inability to pull!
These days, having just listened to Viva Hate this morning (to help me on the next round of the Survivor Poll) I would say "Dial-A-Cliche" still strikes a chord for me:
"When you find,
that you've organised your feelings,
for people,
who didn't like you then,
and do not like you know".
My life isn't the mess it could be and in the areas that it is Moz hasn't sung about so it's difficult to say that these days I relate to much.
Oh, one more that used to get me thinking "Yeah, that's me" was 'Nowhere Fast":
"And if the day came when I felt a natual emotion,
I'd get such a shock, I'd proabably jump in the ocean".....
I was once jealous of people (Ordinary Boys I suppose) who worked and acted from instinct whereas I had a time, in my early 20's where everything seemed to have to be a forced and very acutely concious decision.
These days I'm cool though so don't pity me
