So far we've had:

5 stars in The Observer
4 stars in Mojo
2 stars in Q

NME will give it 7 or 8 out of 10, I'm sure.
Anyone know when Uncut is out?

Uncut is due next Thursday. Despite early assertions to the contrary, the reviews, as with every record after the almost universally acclaimed Vauxhall, seem to be mixed.

Well, I'd say that they're looking pretty positive so far. If TRTT was a masterpiece Q wouldn't have given it over 2 stars due to their attitude towards him.

Will billboard actually review it and rate it? That one would be interesting because they could give it a good review and yet all the stations that contribute to their rankings will ignore the record.

Who penned the Q "review" does anybody know? John "haircut" Harris or another Moz loather armed with sharpened pen?

Actually I can't think of any Morrissey album that deserves only 2/5, except perhaps "World of Morrissey" - and that would be for pointlessness, not content.

And just what inspired the recent Q hatred of Moz in the first place? Have the NME hack froms the mid-90s re-camped there?

I didnt think Q was out?

I predict
3 stars in Q
4 stars in Mojo
3 stars in Uncut
7 out of 10 in NME
A thumbs up in Word magazine
Nuts album of the week

So you expect a pretty much exact replication of the Quarry reviews then?

nme

NME will give it 8 or 9.

Quarry got 8, and they described his new album as "extraordinary" thumpingly good" and "better than quarry"

that means 7 is out of the question. I think it will get 9, and Q will end up looking stupid, as usual. Q really is a seedy little magazine anyway these days. They love usher, backstreet boys and mariah.

Q wants radical opinions

They gave Coldplay's last album 5/5 saying it was 'Chris Martin's masterpiece.'

It's more like Chris Martin's mantelpiece.
