Moz mentioned on CSI

In the opening scene of last night's CSI, a man was ground up in a meat grinder. Marg Helgenberg says something to the effect, "I guess Morrissey's album is true--Meat is Murder."

Couldn't the writers of CBS research and realize it is a Smiths album. Not a big deal, but getting the facts correct is important.

phew...for a minute i thought those letters stood for''child sex industries''

I watch that show pretty often and I was really excited to hear the Meat is Murder reference, albeit slightly inaccurate. Very fun to hear one live for once.

Heh, I'd never watched the show before...but happened to catch it last night. I laughed my ass off, it's a terrible show. I much prefer the real thing, The New Detectives. Anywhow. It was funny...them mentioning Meat is Murder, and calling it a Morrissey album. It sparked an argument between my sister (a non-Morrissey fan) and I;

"Oh my god, they mentioned Morrissey. I bet you have that CD, huh, Morrissey's Meat is Murder." Uh, no...that's not a Morrissey album. "Yes it is, they just said it is." No, sorry...Morrissey made no such album. "Then why did they just say that? You think you know everything. If they said it, he does." God, would you shut up...it's a Smiths album for Christ's sake! "Oh. Well then they're stupid." Yeah, you could say that. And you believed them. Hah.

Well, it is a morrissey album really. The others were just his puppets. Their
pathetic post-smiths stuff proves it.
Poor Johnny - split in haste, repent at leisure.
Well, that's the blue touchpaper lit and I'm standing back 200 feet. Bring it
on.

What's the problem with a character saying it's a Morrissey album?
It doesn't matter if the character has all his facts right. That's
something a person might say in the real world, so a person can say
it on a dramatic series as well.

And anyway, it's *both* a Smiths album *and* a Morrissey album.
So he's not inaccurate anyway.

> without the others, that album would be nothing

Enough said!

I actually could truly not possibly care less about that; like I said I found it funny.

The album is a Smiths album. Why do you people feel it necessary to separate Morrissey from the rest of The Smiths!? His solo albums are Morrissey albums...SMITHS ALBUMS ARE SMITHS ALBUMS FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.

Was 'We Are The Ark' an Ola Salo album? Was 'Black Celebration' a David Gahan album? Was 'Baby One More Time' a Britney Spears album?

I feel very frustrated.

Anyway, at least you didn't act like a complete idiot in making your argument. *Applause*
To the McCann creature, as well.
I like you both. Not that you care for nor need my approval.

It's a Smiths album, yes. And Morrissey was the co-leader of The Smiths, so it's also a Morrissey album. It's one of Morrissey's Smiths albums. : P

One of Morrissey's Smiths albums?
Cute.
