*Johnny Carson, the "Tonight Show" TV host who served America a smooth
nightcap of celebrity banter, droll comedy and heartland charm for 30
years, has died. He was 79.* Johnny passed away from emphysema.

His connection to Morrissey was a Morrissey appearance on the Tonight Show in '91. Every mention of Morrissey's name brought a very loud approval from the audience.

that's the reason why i really love conan o'brian ,he is cute funny and doesn't take himself seriously

Wasn't he the one who only allowed Elvis to be filmed from the waist up?

Ed Sullivan was the one that had to come between the censors and Elvis' pelvis, so to speak.

Actually Johnny Carson was pretty cool and deserves more respect than he is getting on this thread. The fact that he had Morrissey on should show something good about him. He is clearly amused by the overwhelming reaction of the audience. Johnny was much hipper than the loathsome Jay Leno. RIP
