You don't need West Ham on your side

When Morrissey came onto the stage at The Forum on monday he said 'This is the first night without West Ham T-shirts. I feel quite sad. Do you mind if I cry?'

The lyrics of Glamorous glue he changed to 'You don't need West Ham on your side'.

Am I the only one who noticed that?

You mean the lyrics to "You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side", right? I'd be delighted if he'd play "Glamorous Glue".

he changed loads of the lyrics that night. there were so many i'd forgotten. the only one i remembered was in hairdresser on fire "...and when he said i'm going to screw you oh i really felt happy for you"

He had his West Ham shirt back on for Tuesday though....

Don't know if anyone noticed but the backdrop was claret curtains with a blue light reflecting on them.

He changed the words of 'Hairdresser on Fire' to 'West Ham, home of the brash, outrageous and free....' and 'I wear the crest because I'm remarkably dressed.....'

Nice moment when someone threw a West Ham scarf on stage which he lovingly held to his heart then stuck in his back pocket.

We West Ham fans welcome the legend that is Morrisey with open arms!

Actually he sung : 'You're gonna need West Ham on your side'

That's what I meant.
Must have been still dizzy from the London show when I posted that.

I thought his 'no West Ham t-shirts tonight' comment had been directed at those "West Ham Girls" (who were not in the front row that night). Doesn't seem to be too fond of them.
