I'm here Reggie! Busy doing yet another job application in work time.
I was actually in a good mood this morning, but here we are at 12.10 and I've completely lost the will to live!
To think the state once funded me to write essays on such fancies as magical realism in the novels of Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
I wonder what it feels like to enjoy your job? Discuss.

Job Satisfaction - The Only Job Satisfaction I get is by BACS

Good Grief - I hate my job and have put in my notice - Although I have said I may stay 'til after Crimbo if they have trouble recruiting.

Thats my trouble, generous to a fault!

Do you work for the NHS by any chance?
I bet you don't hate it as much as I hate mine?
Its pay day today, and as £600 is already accounted for there's little left to get excited about. Infact I think I might just ask them to pay it all into my landlady's account next month and cut out the middle man/woman. Oh well, at least the sun is shining. Sort of.
feeble attempt at a smile there!

Wages spent before they're earnt

I have the first 1K of my wages spent EVERY month - I'm starving to death on the wages I used to dream about! Thats why I am leaving - NO Overtime or Nowt.

Reg

Sorry to moan and I won't attempt a feeble smile coz I'll only end up scowling!

Let's change the subject?

An Ideal World

So what would be your ideal job then?

A Chef like my hero Gordon Ramsey

I love to cook, and whats more I LOVE to cook for other people - but is their much call for Veggie Chefs? I doubt it!

Yes! Yes! Yes!
Get out there and convince people that there is.
Gordon Ramsey? Are you being ironic?

Re: A Chef like my hero Gordon Ramsey

Ironic? No I love his passion for life - Also he was a Rangers FC Footlaller - and his passion for high standards - he helps people achieve a lot - OK I wouldn't imitate him but he isn't just nasty - he drives people on to produce well above their own expectations.

Sorry, can't agree. I think he's just plain nasty. And unbelievably arrogant.
But then people like that seem to get all the breaks in life.
Note to self: Must not become bitter and twisted. No one said it was going to be easy.

Chef is a four letter word

I worked with a bloke who installed a kitchen at one of his places in Glasgow and he said Ramsey was a complete nightmare - worse than he is on TV and had everything done again and again until it was perfect he wasn't happy.

I said to him yeah but you did do your best ever fit-out and the guy said aye right enough - it was a cracking job when I'd finished!

So there you go - He got the best job possible out of the man because he demanded it - and thats not TOO wrong in my opinion (OK I KNOW HE GOES TOO FAR AND THATS INDEFENSIBLE)

Re: Chef is a four letter word

So you're saying egomaniacs with no respect whatsoever for other people, are o.k. because they get the job done?
Nice kitchen, shame about the pillock who paid for it.
