ok, after I've been listening to YOR for weeks I made my own decision to replace in the playlist of my Creative the two weakest numbers (IMO) with two brillant b-sides.
off the brand new tracklist of YOR according to Zither:

SOMETHING IS SQUEEZING MY SKULL
MAMA LAY SOFTLY ON THE RIVERBED
SHAME IS THE NAME
I'M THROWING MY ARMS AROUND PARIS
ALL YOU NEED IS ME
WHEN LAST I SPOKE TO CAROL
THAT'S HOW PEOPLE GROW UP
ONE DAY GOODBYE WILL BE FAREWLL
IT'S NOT YOUR BIRTHDAY ANYMORE
YOU WERE GOOD IN YOUR TIME
BECAUSE OF MY POOR EDUCATION
I'M OK BY MYSELF

how about you?

Something is Squeezing My Skull
Mama Lay Softly on the Riverbed
Black Cloud
I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris
All You Need is Me
When Last I Spoke to Carol
Shame is the Name
One Day Goodbye Will be Farewell
It's Not Your Birthday Anymore
Sorry Doesn't Help
Because of My Poor Education
I'm Okay by Myself

It's not that I dislike 'You Were Good in Your Time', I just find it a little ill-focused, whereas everything else on the album has a kind of clarity and determination, and so it just doesn't seem to fit. If it had been a b-side I would have listened to every now and again, enjoyed it, then forgotten about it for a while.

'That's How People Grow Up' is the first Morrissey song since 'This is Not Your Country' to completely leave me cold.
