Greetings Friends,
This is my first post here, I've read a million, and so enjoy reading what others have to say and offer.
I'm compelled to write today, because I saw a beautiful band in Chicago last night called The Bellfuries. They are based in Austin, Texas. I was standing there listening to these amazing, beautiful lyrics and melodies, and I could not help but think that I have not heard something that grabbed me so, with all due respect, since I picked up my first Smiths 45 some 20 years ago now. Then in the middle of this set, I hear the first few notes of Ask. They played it with beauty and passion, and I felt , for a few wonderful minutes, like a twenty year old again hearing it for the first time. I've not heard many bands that can do that.
