I'm playing devils advocate here (maybe...)

Didn't Morrissey say the contract with Sanctuary was for one album... Who released Live at Earl's Court? Sanctuary?

Someone can't count...

But couldn't the company release what it likes..

I don't know, the obligatory live album or greatest hits is usually rolled out to fufill a long term album deal when the band has split up or the band wants out of the contract and a stalemate ensues.

Surely, if Morriseey had signed a one album deal then Sanctuary would release one album not two...
