I asked the same question before as well. I gather that robots are any computer programmes designed to turn an instruction into an action that is repeatable ad infinitum. Covers a huge range of goods and functions, from switches to complex algorithms and presumably AI. On here they're probably searching and sorting and segmenting and classifying and feeding back.
David T is a platform engineer with decades of experience, in an area which seems to involve helping people market themselves and their products, mainly using these types of robots. Perhaps he could give us a quick primer?
