possible early smiths" rarity"

am hunting for info really!i found a 30year old home tape i made of an early gig,sheffield[uni?]1983.i wonder if there is any other recording of this gig or whether a tracklisting exists?
i darent put it in a tape machine and press play in case it chews up a unique recording.it was a poor quality early Walkman recording is it possible to clean out the extraneous noise[like they do in CSI]?
