Movie/TV scenes that make you cry

It's a Wonderful Life.
I agree with Virgil on Only Fools And Horses, The scene in the lift when Del pretends to be claustrophobic to try and get Rodney to talk about Cassandra's miscarriage. Also when the old episodes with Grandad are on and I feel alot of affection for Uncle Albert.

i get a tear every time i see the scene when they walk into the nags head in "time on our hands" and everyone starts clapping(im an only fools nut though)

The one i always cry at is when i watch The Royal Family and Nana dies:tears: gets me every time

When George kills Lenny in Of Mice And Men

The last ten minutes of The History Boys.

Both these scenes make me sob uncontrollably. The discussion of Hardy's 'Drummer Hodge' in THB makes me cry too. Another is My Boy Jack, about Rudyard Kipling's son:

And also the scene in Garden State where Large confronts his father properly for the first time. I can't find the scene on youtube, but it goes like this:

Andrew Largeman: I was a little boy and somebody made a shitty latch. That's what I think. That's what I think about the whole thing, OK? And I'm not gonna take those drugs anymore, because they have left me completely f***ing numb. I have felt so f***ing numb to everything I have experienced in my life, OK? And for that... for that I'm here to forgive you. You've always said that all you wanted was for us to have whatever it is we wanted, right? Well, maybe, what Mom wanted more then anything is for it to all be over, and for me, what I want more then anything in the world, is for it to be OK with you for me to feel something again, even if it's pain.

Gideon Largeman: Well, you're going against your doctor's recommendation, that a pretty weighty experiment to take on, don't you think?

Andrew Largeman: This is my life, Dad, this is it. I spent 26 years waiting for something else to start, so, no, I don't think it's too much to take on, because it's everything there is. I see now it's all of it. You and I are gonna be OK, you know that, right? We may not be as happy as you always dreamed we would be, but for the first time let's just allow ourselves to be whatever it is we are and that will be better. OK? I think that will be better.

:tears:

The final scene of "City Lights" is a fantastic piece of acting, directing and one of the most moving scenes in cinema history.

Chaplin is very much underappreciated these days. His performance in these few minutes is the stuff of genius.

I love Charlie so much it's ridiculous. The man truly was a genius. Incidentally, that last scene is what I currently have on my desktop.

This scene from The Kid kills me, especially now.

Vertigo is my favorite Hitchcock film. :)

When Ewan starts sobbing:

"Superman. . ."

If you haven't seen Somewhere In Time, do not watch this clip as it is a HUGE spoiler.

This is pretty much how I felt after the breakup of my marriage.
