Morrissey mosaic from Afflecks Palace donated to Salford Lads Club

The original mosaic from Afflecks Palace - that featured Morrissey along with Tony Wilson, Manchester City's Denis ''back heel'' Law, Liam and Noel, Barney and Ian Curtis, Friedrich Engels and Bez - has been taken out of storage where they have resided since being taken down in March 2008, and donated to the Salford Lads Club where it will be on permanent display in The Smiths room.
The mosaic was kindly donated by the artist Mark Kennedy and Afflecks former owner Elaine Walsh.
There will be an official handing over ceremony on Friday
