This festival appearance went down well. At times Morrissey seemed to be fighting a cold, but he still sang brilliantly and was visibly enjoying the sunny weather. He wasn't particularly chatty, but he did reach out to the locals by thanking them in Danish ('Tak'). The audience seemed to be rather receptive for one that included a good number of Morrissey 'tourists'.

Again Morrissey was probably allotted only one hour so he played only 15 songs with no encore. Album tracks "The Father Who Must Be Killed" and "At Last I Am Born" returned to the set.

Morrissey came on stage again with his shirt tied in a knot in front. Because he was wearing low trousers with a very large waistband, the whole look wasn't the most flattering. He greeted the audience in Danish with something that sounded like "Hag hag Roskilde, we are Morrissey". After "The Youngest Was The Most Loved" he announced: "Boz, Boz would like to give you a message in Danish." Boz then said "Velbekommen til Roskilde" which actually means "You are welcome" and not "Welcome to Roskilde" as he surely meant to say. Impressed, Morrissey followed this with the comment: "So easy, so easy..."

After "In The Future When All's Well" the singer thanked his fans and introduced the following song: "Julia? Thank you to some of you for buying 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors'... and this is 'The Father Who Must Be Killed'... phew!" After that song came the customary band introduction: "Would you say hey-hey to Boz Boorer?... would you say hey-hey to Gary Day?... to the great Matt Walker... to the extraterrestrial Jesse Tobias... to daddy Michael Farrell... that's life..."

Some fans kept giving Morrissey Swedish Plopp chocolate at the gigs they attended, so after "Girlfriend In A Coma" the man gave them back their chocolate and chanted "Everywhere we go, Plopp-Plopp!" After "Let Me Kiss You" he asked someone "Yes? What's the question? What's the question?" Shortly after, "I Will See You In Far Off Places" was introduced with "Thank you you're very kind... and, whatever happens, I'm sure... I will see you... in far off places... up there..."

Besides the usual live changes in "At Last I Am Born" Morrissey replaced "Historians note" with "Vulgarians know". Similarly, besides the usual changes in "You Have Killed Me", he sang "'til you came with the key and you did okay but..." After the latter song the man had a few words with his favourite fan: "Are you travel weary Julia? Are you travel weary? No? You're okay?..."

After "Life Is A Pigsty" Morrissey asked the crowd "Does anybody here know Sandi Toksvig? (crowd cheers) Who is she? No... Does anybody ever heard of King Frederick? (crowd reacts) Who was he then?" He must not have received a satisfying answer because this was followed with a comment to his favourite fan: "Julia, what do they know?... Anyway." After one more song, "How Soon Is Now?" was introduced with the line "And it's true when I say..."

"First Of The Gang To Die", "The Youngest Was The Most Loved", "Girlfriend In A Coma", "At Last I Am Born", "You Have Killed Me", "How Soon Is Now?" and "Irish Blood, English Heart" were broadcast on Finland's YLEX FM radio station in November 2006.

"Panic", "First Of The Gang To Die", "Girlfriend In A Coma", "You Have Killed Me" and "Irish Blood, English Heart" were webcast on the MTVe webpage. Footage of Morrissey performing at Roskilde 2006 was featured in the 28 January 2007 episode of MTV's reality programme "I'm From Rolling Stone".
The 5 songs from the webcast mentioned above are circulated on DVD bootlegs and on the internet in digital format. The audio was ripped from these and this is also circulated where files are traded. The radio broadcast is also out there, but not widely circulated yet. It is only available for trade from certain bootleg traders and not on the internet at this point in time.

The good news for collectors is that both of these incomplete broadcasts are more or less useless because of the existence of an excellent soundboard-like audience recording of the complete set (recorder: JTL).

:D Good one Cesar....and thank you for the information on the show Drifter, I thought when I downloaded this last night it was the show from 6/30. Well done both of you!!!!
