When a pop figure as significant as Morrissey releases his first album in years he gets to plug it on not one Radio 1 programme but two. Just as well, then, that the album, You Are the Quarry, has attracted its share of critical thumbs up. Now to conquer the charts — to which end our hero appears live, singing his new songs and talking about them with Zane and Peelie. Afterwards, of course, we are expected to rush out and buy our own copies, only to dribble sorrowfully home when we find the shops are shut — a very Morrissey moment, come to think of it.
