GEORGE BEST STILL PLAYING BETTER THAN YOU SAD ARSE

Guest
I only caught the ending, but thought "The National" were very good.

I loved the line in one song "You put in the hours, to keep me in sunglasses".

Says it all really.

I also caught a clip of some other band called "The Rake", so sadly basing his image on Ian Curtis, with that far away look in his eyes, oh dear, what is the worl coming to?

The National, I feel have a futre.

I saw Starsailour on his show for the first time and they were excellent, well Good Souls was anyway.

Sorry for rambling, but I do that better than anything it appears.

The Rakes are good, they sound much better on record than live. I find starsailor a bit weird, a tad fake.

Surely the mark of a crap band then?

I appreciate that, I had never heard of the rake until this evening.
Maybe if I had heard them before viewing it would have put it into perspective.
The music wasn't bad by any means, I just found his "staged animation" a little wanting. He resembles Ian Curtis, and has decided to take on his persona.

As for Starsailor, I thought "Goodsouls" was one of the most adorable singles from the past year, or whatever year it was.

I havent persued further albums, apart from their debut which was excellent.

Anyway, nice to speak again "Please".

I know what you mean about the stage image thing, in some ways it is a complement. Sometimes bands can go too far though. Any idea why that fella was sitting on a throne all night?

Er maybe, a crap band with good music. The record just sounds alot more solid and filled out, the live performance sounds too air filled. Maybe that sort of band is not suited to the studio.

Soloman King, I figure as he obviously weighed at least 50 stone, he couldn't stand unaided.

DID YOU SEE THE SIZE OF THAT DUDE? WOW!

Anyway he is some soloman or other that never had his hair cut in the temple but ate too many hamburgers to stand up in a studio.

Good voice though.

Sitting on the throne all night?

LOL

Bet he is, with all that muck he stuffs in his face.

His legs were like tree trunks, i thought he may have had a bout of something!

Well, he puts the average bouncer to shame.

Be honest, would you argue with him?

If I ever have the need to call security, He'll be top of the list.

He looks about 6 foot 8 high and 6 foot 8 wide.
