I'm trying to pick out the exact "piano part" but for the lead guitar riff

I agree about the D, G, B flat, then the chorus/break as C G. I worked out the piano bit - G5 B3 E5 is the first picked bit, then G4 B3 E5, then G3 B3 E3 ( picked appropriately). I'll play it tomorrow and see if it sounds like I remember.

EDIT - I think you are right - the Gm and Bb are interchangeable, but more likely to be Gm.
