Not right in the head
On Sunday 24 February 2008 I am flying to South Africa to take part in a charity trek for Mind (The National Association for Mental Health) and Scope (the Cerebral Palsy charity). Those of you who know me may be aware that I have bi-polar disorder (manic depression). I have lived with this for my whole life and it hasn't always been easy. Since I started working at Mind, I have felt much happier in myself as I have not had to hide my condition from my employers and have been treated with respect. It's important to me that Mind are able to continue doing the valuable work they do, supporting the needs of people with mental health issues.
We can only do this by raising enough funds to continue working!
As one in four of us will experience mental distress at some point in our lives (including our own hero, Morrissey), I'd really appreciate it if people would donate to my fundraising page:
