I'm sorry but in mon opinion 2009 was shitter than shit itself where the Arts are concerned.

Although, The Antlers, Morrissey, Julian Plenti and Mumford and Sons were my favourites.
 
Whenever I hear Camera Obscura, I think of Mazzy Star.

Emmy the Great-First Love, ....I liked a lot this year..

if we're talking favorites and not bests i would say:

Blank Dogs-Under And Under
The Horrors-Primary Colours
Late Of The Pier-Fantasy Black Channel

but if we were discussing bests, The XX and The Antlers would pop up too
