Experimental Moz

What would ya say is Moz's most experimental music?
There's three that came to Wild T right away.

The Secret Of Music
Sweetie Pie
Black Eyed Susan

The Teachers are Afraid of the Pupils is a freakish sonic primer. We ride Shostakovich into Morrissey's so-called "grunge" Southpaw Grammar, which in the context of Vauxhall was an experimental and tonal revolution. (And we've never completely returned from it to early-solo pop).

for him? this one has to be the strangest…

The Secret of Music and Teachers , that's for sure .
I would also add this song

What is ‘Sorrow’ comparable to in his body of work?

To me, it’s definitely his most ‘experimental’.
Maybe a bit to The Harsh Truth of the Camera Eye or Asian Rut and The Truth about Ruth ...

I don’t hear it. Harsh truth reminds me more of say, Secret of Music. And yeah, those can all be lumped in with his weirder stuff, and let’s throw Smiler in there too. And even You’ve Had Her.

But in Sorrow Will Come he’s not even ‘singing’ and so, yes it definitely stands out amongst his work as his most experimental.
