well, on every single show (almost) on the 2002 tour morrissey made fun of alain... sometimes warmly, sometimes quite cruel ("let me introduce you to the boys in the band; boz, gary, deano... that's it really", or "yes alain what are you TRYING to say?", or "you used to know him as lassie but now he's... alain", or "over yonder is boz, gary, deano... what? oh, well yes... alain", or "you might recognize him from the stage version of fiddler on the roof - he played the roof - alain", or "every time alain speaks I pull £10 of his wages".
I could go on and on....
Sometimes funny, sometimes cruel as I said. Wonder if this has anything to do with him being gone?
Well, for now I'll stick with the Betty Ford theory. As two reliable sources has pointed out to me, cocaine is a terrible drug. That's all I have to say....
