Buffalo Rollcall

Hope you all have a great night tonight in Buffalo!:guitar:

Whoo just got back. Even though I didn't know some songs it still went fast. He's such a great entertainer. (I did know more than I expected though, thanks to the new album.)
And even though it was sitting venue people still managed to crowd around the stage, making a pit. Hehe. It also allowed upwards of 20 people to attempt to or successfully stage invade. And I loved how he talked about the sites in town he went to (including the Science Museum, where my sister works. She was them mad that she didn't work today.) And at the end he said "God bless you. ... God bless ME!". Awesome~

And I LOVED the short clips of 60s and 70s songs and skits between bands. I really need to check out Shocking Blue. I only knew them from "Venus", but some of those clips were awesome.

Setlist:
1. This Charming Man
2. Billy Budd
3. Black Cloud
4. How Soon is Now?
5. Let Me Kiss You
---- pink shirt off, blue shirt on
6. Irish Blood, English Heart
7. One Day Goodbye Will be Farewell
8. I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris
9. Ask
10. How Could Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel
11. The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores
12. The Loop
13. Death of a Disco Dancer
14. Seasick, Yet Still Docked
15. Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself
16. Best Friend on the Payroll
17. Sorry Doesn't Help
18. I Keep Mine Hidden
----- He gave out the mic to an audience member who started singing "Irish Eyes are Smiling". He then threatened to do a jig. Hehe.
19. Something is Squeezing My Skull
20. I'm OK by Myself
--- Encore, Blue Shirt Off, Blue plaid shirt on
21. First Of The Gang To Die

I didn't know the second one played and didn't start writing reference lyrics until "Let Me Kiss You". Did anyone catch that one?

Aaand I'm the proud owner of a signed Morrissey LP, 8/20 signed at Buffalo NY.

stage invader chick pulled and dragged him, not cool! he looked pissed.

i'm still seeing stars and am in complete shock and awe of having seen morrissey for the first time. i can't say anything right now, lol.. set list varied only slightly... i wish i could remember.

gah

Disco Dancer was the hilight of my night too

I missed that - during which song /when did that happen?

I think the second song was Billy Budd...?

Great show all in all!

i can't remember which song the girl pulled him during. it was great though, she was not about to let go... but he did look a bit irked. i wish i'd had that kind of determination getting to meet him at the buses!

i do believe the second song was Billy Budd. there was no way i could keep track of the set list on my phone or write it down, i was far too shaky and my boyfriend was afraid i'd drop stuff over the balcony hahahaha.

There was a moment during Ask when Morrissey said, "That's my foot!"

I've got a few videos posted now, including Ask. I love how the foot girl is the video's thumbnail.

Absolutely loved the video clips beginning with Jobriath, a German performance of the New York Dolls ("Just Looking for a Kiss"), "Inkpot" by a 70's band I could not remember. Does anyone else?

Was it just me or was the best reaction to former Smiths songs? Absolutely loved the entire show, though.

Nice lyric changes as well: "Let Me Kiss You"- "I heard you'll do anyone twice" especially. Real switch in "How soon is now?" Instead of "You go and you stand on your own, and you leave on your own/ and you go home and you cry and you want to die", Morrissey sang something like "not expecting a rise, you finally get a real suprise" or something like that.

No probs! Does anyone else find it to be pure torture filming when you're actually at the show? I try to film while peering over the top of my camera so I can still enjoy the real thing.

I took a few photos, too, but he is so quick. Most of them turned out shite. But here's the best of the rest:

This one has got to be one of my faves:

I agree, it is worse than torture. I have decided not to do it anymore. I did the same thing in New Jersey. I held the camera and peeked over the left side to see the action. The crappy video I got wasn't even worth the effort. At least yours came out good and we thank you for that.

wow buffalo didnt know you had it in you!
that "ask" video reminded me of will never marry haha

One more video finally uploaded to SlowTube -- Seasick, Yet Still Docked.

The red lighting made it tricky to capture. Oh well, I just enjoy listening to his mesmerizing voice on this one. Hubby doesn't understand this. He's like, "This is the song I almost feel asleep to."
