Blackburn. Giddy Up Drinks!!!

Does anyone know of any decent pubs close to the venue that we can get giddy in before the gig? For that matter is there likely to be any decent placed to go to after the gig, or is Blackburn a 'tache and white sock' town best avoided after dark? ( Northerners will know exactly what I mean !! )

I too would appreciate to be furnished with post gig watering holes..although from my past experience of old Mill towns like Blackburn and Burnley I don't hold me breath
