Yes Billy Idol the solo artist was nicely manufactured. Interestingly he was massive in the States before he was in the UK - the Americans like that kind of punk, nice and friendly with a hint of middle class rebellion in it!

But his punk credentials in Generation X (and Chelsea before that) are beyond question, as a part of the Bromley Contingent along with Siouxsie Sioux and Steve Severin etc he was well involved.

I'll have to check it out. I seen him at the old venue, the Tradewinds (before it was torn down). He's awesome. Remember him in the movie, The Wedding Singer?!
