best b-sides ever

btw My Dearest Love is growing and growing...expecialy at the end when the guitar enters and he sings the motif

From Wikipedia

"A-side and B-side originally referred to the two sides of 7 inch vinyl records on which singles were released beginning in the 1950s. The terms have come to refer to the types of song conventionally placed on each side of the record, with the A-side being the featured song (the one that the record producer hopes will receive radio airplay and become a "hit"), while the B-side, or flipside, is a secondary song that often does not appear on a band's LP.

B-side songs are released on the same record as a single to provide extra "value for money". There are several types of material commonly released in this way:

a different version (e.g., instrumental, a cappella, live, acoustic, remixed version or in another language/text) of the A-side or another track
another song from the same album, which the record company does not want to release on its own
a song not considered good enough for the album
a song that was stylistically unsuitable for the album
a song that had not yet been completed at the time of the album's release
a song that was intended to be [marketed as] a B-side after all
a cover of another song
in concept records: a song that doesn't fit into the story line."

B-side does not specifically refer to who composed or wrote the song.....

I didn't know that, thanks for the explanation ;) You learn something new every day :) So now I also include "A Song From Under The Floorboards"s in the list of my favourite Moz b-sides. And specially "No One Can Hold A Handle To You", I love Moz version of that song!

Lost
Never played Symphonies
Whatever Hapens, I Love you

Lost is in my top 3 Moz songs :guitar:

Best of B-sides ... considering your average full CD gets maybe 18 tracks, I'd go with..

Don't make fun of Daddy's voice
Good looking man about town
Never played Symphonies
Friday Mourning
Will Never Marry
I've changed my plea to guilty
Lucky Lisp

Took a while for someone to quote Michael's Bones, which is a wonderful and mournful song.

15 b-sides, not necessarally his best but it's the classic ones (more or less) that's quite easy to love and listen to.

I Know Very Well How I Got My Name
Hairdresser On Fire
Sister I'm A Poet
Will Never Marry
Disappointed
I've Changed My Plea To Guilty
Jack The Ripper
Whatever Happens, I Love You
Nobody Loves Us
Lost
This Is Not Your Country
Mexico
No One Can Hold A Candle To You
Good Looking Man About Town
My Dearest Love

It's not the best, but Heir Apparent is awesome.

Jack the Ripper (live), although I've overplayed it a million times, is an incredible recording. Jack the Ripper (studio) is quite an oddity after listening to the live version since 1995 and just hearing the studio this year.

I really really really like Friday Mourning. I'd have that in there.
Also ;
- Never Played Symphonies
- I Know Very Well How I Got My Name
- I've Changed My Plea To Guilty
- Tony The Pony
- Hairdresser On Fire
- Sister, I'm A Poet.
- Ganglord
- Jack The Ripper
And more that I'm frankly too tired to remember. But that works as a good skeletal beginning to an awesome cd.
