Tell you what though, Morrissey and Marr should've either had better lawyers in the 80's, or they should've just split performance and recording royalties evenly with the other two. Most of the long-term profits from songwriting comes from publishing royalties, which Morrissey doesn't mention at all. Him and Marr get ALL of that pie.

The moral of the story is this. If you're going to be a greedy bastard, and stiff your band out of recording and performance royalties, you'd better have a water tight contract. Otherwise, you might get screwed later if you make it big in the long run. I'm sure Morrissey pissed Joyce off, and Joyce just decided to screw him back. Ya reap what ya sow. Songwriting and production alone, do not a band make."
