London - The SSE Arena Wembley (Mar. 14, 2020) post-show

After searching forever, I finally found one of the pre-show (pre-videos) songs from this tour, which had even evaded my Shazam app: Musik by Marianne Mendt. I should have known to check Eurovision entries from the 60s and 70s. Enjoy.

Paris 24/09/2020 cancellation confirmed by Morrissey's cousin

I'm not sure what his official position is, but basically he seems to be the one overseeing all the tour support. He manages things well as far as I can tell, and always tries to help work out any issues with the early queue if there are multiple entrances or whatever. Lil' Sammy, on the other...

Paris 24/09/2020 cancellation confirmed by Morrissey's cousin

Like everyone else, I’m puzzled as to why no official statement has been issued. Especially since info about Las Vegas, Israel, and New York has been updated. I can only guess maybe there is some strange legal issue with the venue that prevents Morrissey from making an official announcement...

Paris 24/09/2020 cancellation confirmed by Morrissey's cousin

I think Jay is the tour manager or some position like that. We always see him going in and out of the venue when we queue. Didn't know he was Morrissey's cousin.

New Paris date - Sep. 24, 2020 according to email from Salle Pleyel

Israel has already been moved to 2021. Really puzzling that Paris hasn't been officially cancelled or rescheduled (again) at this point, since it seems cannot possibly be held and Israel, New York, and now Las Vegas have been rescheduled or indefinitely postponed.

New Paris date - Sep. 24, 2020 according to email from Salle Pleyel

Apparently the rescheduled Paris date of September 24 still hasn’t been cancelled. I can’t imagine this show will actually go on though.

Louder Than War: Morrissey: SSE Arena Wembley, London – live review (March 19, 2020)

Thanks to this piece for identifying one of the pre-show clips as from the film The Caretaker (1963) based on the Harold Pinter play "The Guest." The pre-show clip starts around 39:40 ("I've got your bag..."): Otherwise, I'm sorry to say, the article is uninformed. The writer admits that they...

London - The SSE Arena Wembley (Mar. 14, 2020) post-show

The setlist debates seem to come up in every thread for every show. Most performing artists who are still producing new material naturally play mainly songs from their most recent albums. Morrissey is no different and his setlists have always been dominated by songs from recent albums. 9 out of...

yes! forgot to say in the Wembley post, but i'll say it here because it's relevant to the pre-show videos. Among the banter at Wembley: "Thank God for Youtube... otherwise... where else would you hear these songs?" referring to his own songs.

London - The SSE Arena Wembley (Mar. 14, 2020) post-show

The most lively crowd I’ve seen. Sometimes too lively... A number of people fighting or pushing, probably after drinking too much, got taken out over the barrier by security. Please, if you’re going to a show, be responsible and respectful and don’t let your friends do this. Otherwise a great...

    Cologne - Palladium (Mar. 9, 2020) post-show

I must have been very tired after the show last night and my eyes skipped some lines in my notes. I forgot to list after the Candy Darling clip: Baby Workout by Jackie Wilson “I’ve got your bag...” (sending a bag back-and-forth) clip from b&w comedy film. does anyone know the preshow song...

    Cologne - Palladium (Mar. 9, 2020) post-show

my eighth show and one of the best I've been to. The crowd was very appreciative and lively. Morrissey was in a good mood and lots of silly banter between songs. When he announced that Paris would be cancelled, he was quite apologetic and it was clear that the reason was the government decision...

    Paris, 11/03/2020

I think we will need to wait for an official announcement for both Cologne and Paris. Check this article, which shows that many large concerts and events, including 11,000 and 12,000 capacity venue concerts, were still held even when the earlier 5000 person limit was imposed...

    Leeds - First Direct Arena (Mar. 6, 2020) post-show

The first sentence was sarcastic. Sorry about that. I really would have loved to see the giant red MORRISSEY lights too and I agree that the past (Quarry, etc.) was a strange and sometimes better place. I am not saying we should not criticize and hope for better, just that many of these issues...

you must be new here. what's the last show there has been "big screens"? I can't remember. and when was the last time there was a support band? Billy Idol @ Hollywood Bowl in 2017, but very rarely in the past several years has he had support. these complaints read like they are from someone...
