I wouldn't be too harsh on him, The Smiths was sometimes compiled and inside he record sleeve of Now 2, he referred to The Smiths "Charming men hailing from Manchester."
Heaven knows I'm miserable now :lbf:
Since Morrissey became a solo artist, his first 3 singles apeared on the Now That's What I Call Music compilations:
Now 11 - Suedehead (1988)
Now 12 - Everyday is like Sunday (1988)
Now 14 - Last of the famous International Playboys (1989)
It staggers me that it has been over 20-years...
Mozza could go on "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" to boost his profile and by capturing a daily audience of 15 million, he could be on to a winner as long as he keeps his views about crashing bores to a minimum.
It should make the top 10 easily, there is enough of us Mozza's to buy the single and ensure it charts well.
I would love to see it equal or beat his previous best of number 3, but time will tell.
It's a decent enough song, but only in the mould of Piccadilly Palare, You Have Killed Me and We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successfull. Morrissey did not excel himself with this number and he knows very well that this is a standard song and he is capable of much better, very surprised he...
Re: 'That's How People' added to the Radio 2 B-list.
Too right Michelle, Russell Brand is sure to promote the song, I had a dream that the single went in at no. 9 - It would be so nice to beat no. 3 though.
I believe that Kewpie deserves a special mention for her excellent moderation of this forum.
Absolutely fantastic modding, and should be thanked for her continuos efforts and dedication.
I found some of the Brixton Gangsta Boyz mickey taking threads hilarious, but for me "My mother on Morrissey" has to take second place, as Houdini has done a sterling job with the Morrissey and Smiths song polls.
