Update: 03/31 08:54 GMT:
From Simon Goddard: "Contrary to earlier speculation surrounding a new 2009 “revised edition” of Songs That Saved Your life, such an edition of the book will no longer be published. Please ignore the listings for it on sites such as Amazon which should be changed in due course. The last edition remains unchanged and still in print."

Short item about Morrissey in the NY Post:

FACE-FREE FARE

March 26, 2009 --

MORRISSEY didn't break from his ardent vegetarianism at Webster Hall last night. The singer, whose second album with the Smiths was titled "Meat Is Murder," requested no meat products of any kind be in the building before, during, or after his performance. "There were no deli sandwiches, sushi, pepperoni pizza or anything else that used to have a face," laughs our source. "Even the cleaning staff were happy to do their part by bringing in veggie sandwiches for lunch."

Mark Walker (Virgil Tracy) writes:
Mark Walker (Virgil Tracy) will be running the London Marathon on just under a month to raise money for the Lads and Girls Club.

The club is reliant on donations as it doesn't receive any money from the central government. The club plays a vital roll in the local community as well as having a massive place in the hearts of Morrissey and Smiths fans.

It would be nice to get 100 fans to sponsor Mark just £10 each to raise £1000 for the club. You can do this on-line at www.justgiving.com/boywithastitchladsclub and keep up to date at www.boywithastitch.com
