All 12 issues of the legendary Smiths fanzine Smiths Indeed have been reprinted due to 'overwhelming demand'.

The fanzine, edited by Mark Taylor between 1986 and 1987, was the first Smiths fanzine and the only one to be sold on the band's official merchandise stall at the time.

Smiths Indeed was reissued in 2006 and the print run sold out. It has now been reprinted for a second time in a limited edition of 200 numbered copies.

Issues 1 to 12 of Smiths Indeed will be released on March 30. For more information, email [email protected]

Inside back page of the current NME is given over to David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain - a full page interview - here's a snippet...

David Johansen - "When you're an artist, you want to inspire people around you, and I think we've done that. Morrissey is a perfect example. I remember corresponding with him when he was a kid and writing into NME defending us from Suzi Quatro fans or whatever. He's still like that - he's smitten with the Dolls! It's not something I use for my self-esteem, but if my heart exploded right now, I think I'd be able to die feeling like I accomplished something."

Sylvain Sylvain - "Seeing how the New York Dolls have inspired people is how I get paid. That's my equivalent of the bank manager calling em and telling me I'm a rich man."
