On The Record understands that Morrissey will play a show at Luggala, Co Wicklow on June 28.

Yes, I am still away, but I just could not resist this nugget involving a new site for summer shows and my old buddy, and fellow fan of bespoke tailoring, the Moz.

MUSIC MIRACLE - NY Post

May 10, 2008 -- CHRISSY Hynde, Morrissey and British rock god Jeff Beck set up shop in the lobby of the Sunset Marquis in LA the other day for an impromptu concert. "They were jamming," said our spy. "But many of the guests just walked by. They played for four hours, and then Julian Lennon joined them. Some younger types walked by as if they were total losers trying to get a record deal." But soon they were recognized, and the lobby was crowded with fans.

Record stores get their special day - Canada.com

"Everyone's got a horror story," says CBC Radio 3 host Grant Lawrence, who also fronts The Smugglers.

"There was a store in Vancouver run by five men, total losers, and they had no clue that they were. They made snarky comments. I remember buying a Morrissey shirt and (one of the clerks) called me 'Fag!' at top volume. I'm thinking to myself, it's their merchandise, they're self-sabotaging their own business. Can you imagine going to the Bay, buying a sweater and the cashier going, 'You are an idiot!' Obviously, I've never forgotten that incident -- to the point where our band had a popular song called My Morrissey Shirt."
