The next Quarry Morrissey/Smiths night will be on Saturday January 28th at The Extra Time Bar in the Barbican, London. It will be a year since Quarry started.
I realise that the night does clash with the Andy Rourke Manchester Cancer charity night so there will be a raffle to raise money for Andy Rourke's charity.
Photographer Stephen Wright has agreed to donate a prize which will be the famous limited edition Smiths Salford Lads Club Print, hand printed from the original negative. The print will be the 9.5" x 14" image on 16" x 12" paper and comes in editions of 100 worldwide. An example of the print can be seen on
Stephen's web site.
There will be 2 further prizes which I'm currently working on but can't give too much away until I have them confirmed.
Advance tickets for Quarry are for sale on the web site using Paypal for £7. Quarry will be donating £1 from each ticket bought to Andy Rourke's charity in addition to the raffle.
Entry on the night will be £10 so it makes sense to get your ticket in advance which will then allow you to spend the £3 difference on extra raffle tickets for the charity!
