August 11, 2004 Morrissey will be playing 3 more dates in the UK this September.

They are:

September 7 - Newcastle City Hall
September 9 - Liverpool Royal Court
September 10 - Preston Guild Hall

so i guess i can announce this now... it looks like the movie version of the book is rolling along. alex steyermark, who directed Prey For Rock N' Roll is going to direct it, and Ross Katz who produced Lost in Translation is going to exec-produce. no word yet on who will be playing Joe, Miki or Mozzer but i'm hoping for Denzel Washington, Carol Channing and James Dean, in that order (i will of course be making a cameo as Jane's cat Iggy). there are still some kinds to be worked out (soundtrack esp.) but the biz part is finally a go so i'm happy to share it here first, with my... like 30 or so loyalists.
coming not too soon to a theater near you.
