  • Truth be told, I thought it was a very well thought out parody...
Moz does come across as rather Hubristic, you must admit. It's a bit of harmless piss taking. Take it in stride. I'm sure Morrissey himself might be inclined to chuckle at this one.

On a different note, I would love to be in a karaoke bar doing Moz songs with this fella.
He's got a surprisingly decent voice.
(Doesn't look a bit like Mozzer though!)

  • If he actually looked like Moz it would be much better. Hard to take seriously without looking a thing like the man...

PLUS, Morrissey ISN'T vegan. Nope. He's really into the leather. And not just on the passenger seat. A shame really...

  • The idiotic Americans won't find it funny because they have no sense of humour. However, for the more sophisticated Morrissey observers, this is a breezy bit of light-hearted character assassination. My favourite part was the way in which he managed to weave "get your free bottle of water" into one of Morrissey's very rambling lyrics from 'william.'

The parody identifies with the public perception of Morrissey and yet Morrissey is not really like this at all in real life. He's a darker, wittier figure. A little odd.

It's strange how the public continue to see him as an unashamed, narcissistic flower-wearing northern lad. Perhaps that's why he regets one thing from the Smiths -- the clothes. It's hard to get beyond that image he created so brilliantly in the early 80s.

But... nah, it's just not funny.

And I'm British before any accuses me of not getting it.

It seemed to me to be a parody by someone whom had more then a passing familiarity of the Moz; so, satire with a hit of love, perhaps?

And I'm an American... some of us DO have a sense of humor...

So many funny bits: if you prove your name is William, you get free water, singing Last of the Famous ("Remember that one? I figured as much." and then IBEH ("That's a newer one, but no less successful I assure you." Haha...
