So much has been said about the Beatles that it often seems redundant to even go on about how great they are. Some people even think they're above getting excited about them.

But those people are idiots.

The Beatles will always be one of my favorite bands. No one can change that.
Total pop genius. Total art genius. Just completely wonderful all around.

This week in history 40 years ago...

The Beatles played two show at Shea Stadium.
Had to be driven to the stage in a Wells Fargo truck.
Poor fellas couldn't even hear themselves.

I love the Beatles.

Yes I remember seeing the footage on tbe TV even though I WAS only in infant school.

My first recollection of the Beatles was on the London Palladium show.

Do you remember that?

I bet you do!

That silly rotating stage and all.

Anyway enough morbid recollection for one night.

But yes, I remember it well.
