Any speculation as to who the perpetrators might be?
For all of our sakes I hope it isn't the Middle East else the world will be consumed by even more anti Muslim hate and Bush will feel entitled to commit even more extreme feats than he already has.

It's almost certainly al-queda or someone related to them, has all the hallmarks. I hope just like you though that this horror doesn't lead to more hatred, there's enough of that around already.

... if you're trying to explain to several tubes-ful of agitated commuters why they've suddently come to a stop in a tunnel but don't want them to panic, it's actually a pretty sensible thing to do.
