Is this old news? Not sure, but here you are anyway...

I like the headline "Smiths hang in National Gallery" Ha!

BBC news story

This was reported a while ago Unc. I was in the Portrait Gallery the other week (Michael Gambon was there contemplating some contemporary pics btw), and it crossed my mind to ask after The Smiths, but I didn't. As the story says, 'is to hang', which means that it ain't there yet I suppose. I'll go in homage when it goes up on the wall if and only if it't not part of some special exhibition you have to pay £10 for.

Ah, sorry. A lady at work saw it on the BBC website and said "Have you seen this?" - must have been during the moving house time or summat.

Ta,

Better if there was an original painting. Maybe Rolf Harris could do one by request.
