My last 2 posts had a password on them, Checking to see if someone can use my name without Pass(nt).

Why have the password since it didn't stop me from posting without it?

Well if you would read what it says above the little password box, you would see the password gives you the ability to delete your post.

You're not helping the cry for less stupidity on this board....

But that won't get rid off the Impersonated posts since they wouldn't have used the password & the most sensible use of a password in a message boards is to stop people from using other peoples names.

The abillity to delete your own messages does nothing to stop people from impersonating you.

I think you must be being deliberately dense....you asked if the password did anything and I explained what it was there for. I never said it would stop someone from taking your name. Personally, I'm for password protection (and I realize the irony of that!).

I understood you perfectly, I just didn't bother changing the title of my message, After you said what it did I simply said that what it did wasn't very useful & it would be more useful if it were for name protection instead.

I'm nobody you would know. I used to post here a lot, but Greasetea and his clones have ruined this place. But you're the one who wanted to know if people could post under your name (and a strange name it is - trust me, you won't see me using it outside this thread).

It is addictive to hijack someone's identity though.....
