He does qualify for it, no kidding in here. Even more so than other gentlemen in revelatory relation to the holy. Not only Morrissey works wonders, he lives rather eremitically too

I'm all for canonization anyway, too bad the only place it could possibly occur is Central Utopia. Not that I think Moz is seriously holy, but it would be such an adorable injection of humanity into the institution that has been virtually dehumanized for far too long.

What makes Morrissey special is, he's just a human being, often makes mistakes like us, but he is undoubtedly a gifted artist who has been able to move many people's feelings.
He's not interested in perfection, fascinated in all sorts of human conditions particularly darker side of life.
