Well, they did make two videos for the song. I guess this is the one that didn't make it.

That is just THE most amazing CGI work I've ever seen. Did ILM do that? Such a lifelike rendition of The Smiths in a 1984 video. Of course it can't be the real Smiths because Morrissey proudly crowed for years that "The Smiths have never done a video!"
